Appeals over OAP death fail

TWO men who claim they were wrongly convicted of the brutal murder of a frail pensioner have had their hopes of freedom dashed by appeal judges.

Jailing the two men for life, judge Lord Hardie told them their crime "defied description" and ordered them to serve a minimum of 25 years.
