A--Madeleine Stowe, James Remar and Ian Ziering star in the new holiday film "The Christmas Hope," premiering at 8 p.m. Sunday on Lifetime Movie Network (digital cable). It's the third film in the trilogy that began with "The Christmas Shoes" and "The Christmas Blessing" (airing starting at 3 p.m. Sunday).

Another top show this year, according to people I know, is "Dexter" (where you root for a serial killer) and then there's "Weeds" (family of drug dealers).
A--New TNT show "Men of a Certain Age" (where the characters are flawed but not felonious) did a nice rating in its premiere recently, earning what TNT called basic cable's top new series launch of 2009.

A--Glenn Beck is scheduled to appear on "The Jay Leno Show" tonight on NBC. Anytime I watch the fabulously successful Beck, I (wipe a tear) want to (my voice raised to soprano) cut off my ears like a certain painter (I pick up a book about art) named Van Gogh! And Hitler stole Van Gogh's paintings (I say, gesturing and making a face) so therefore, and you can look this up (I say raising my voice with sarcasm and my eyes tearing up) Beck is a lot like Hitler! And that ends my Beck impression today, lest he aim his "Morning Zoo" voices at me.
A--UNICO National has been joined by other Italian-American organizations Order of the Sons of Italy in America and the National Italian American Foundation in slamming MTV's new "Jersey Shore." The groups want MTV to pull the plug on the show for its "ethnic slurs, violence and poor behavior to marginalize and stereotype Italian Americans." Eh! Oh! It's Joysey! But none of us over 30 can stomach MTV, so we'll never see it anyway.
A--Rudy Pauls, an engineer from Brooklyn, Conn., lost out to Danny Cahill, a 40-year-old land surveyor and musician from Broken Arrow, Okla., for the title on "The Biggest Loser" Tuesday night. Cahill lost 239 pounds to win the $250,000 grand prize. According to a wire report, the
embroidered patches Nielsen Co. said the season-eight finale scored the show's biggest audience in four years, with about 13.4 million viewers.
A--Bridgeport's Kevin Nealon and guest star Fred Willard will be hosting "Funniest Commercials of the Year: 2009" at 10 p.m. Tuesday on TBS.
A--Two important documentaries premiere Sunday on National Geographic Channel, namely "Explorer Narco State" at 8 p.m. (on the drug trade) and "Inside the Iraw War" (from the folks who did the impactful "Inside 9/11") at 9 p.m.
A--HBO documentary "Every Fing Day of My Life" gives viewers a look into one woman's final days of freedom as she gets ready to be jailed for killing her abusive husband. The show premieres at 10 p.m. Monday.
