Taiwan media calls for further relaxing of rules for investing on China mainland
TAIPEI, Feb. 23 (Xinhua) -- A Taiwan newspaper has called on the island's authorities to introduce more flexible and forward-looking measures regarding Taiwan business investment on the Chinese mainland.
The call, made by Monday's editorial of the China Times, came after Taiwan's economic authority loosened Taiwan investment measures for liquid crystal display replica breitling (LCD) panels and real estate on the mainland Feb. 10.
Hailing the measures as meeting the demands of Taiwan business people, the article, however, also stated they were not extensive enough.
